THIS WEEK:

This week we are learning about NUTRITION!!  Its all about healthy eating, what foods are good for us to eat and what foods are not so good.  

We will be learning the food pyramid as well as creating one to take home as well as finger painting some apple trees, and stamping with different vegetables to create shapes!

FAMILY FUN NIGHT:

Friday Feb 28th is our next Family Fun night!  We will be celebrating the birthday of a beloved children's author; Dr. Suess. We will celebrate with crafts, face painting, birthday cupcakes and a dance party. The party starts at 5:30, we hope you can make it!!!

THIS WEEK:

Hope you all have enjoyed the long weekend and past week for some of you!  

This week we are working on our self-help skills such as:  blowing our own noses, putting on our shoes when they fall off, learning the coat trick, cleaning up after ourselves, pouring a cup of water, etc...

We will get to paint with toothbrushes, explore and create soap mud, and mix ingredients together to make soap!

I hope that everyone has been enjoying the snow and staying safe and warm!!

THIS WEEK:

This week we are learning about Valentine's Day and the letter "V"!  We will be making lots of different Valentine's crafts, decorating a treat that we will be making in class, and having a mini Valentine's Day Party!

NO SCHOOL:

Tomorrow Monday 10th due to weather

WEDNESDAY:

Goodnight Moon

Be there by 9:20am for seating.

THURSDAY/FRIDAY:

Bring your Valentine's to school.  Parents can help children put their valentines in their friends boxes.

February 3rd - 7th

THIS WEEK:

I can not believe that we are already into February!  Time is flying by way too fast!

This week we are going to be talking about Groundhogs day and Chinese New Year!  

We will be creating cute groundhogs, decorating and practicing to fold fans, and creating beautiful chinese lanterns!  We will be learning some new songs for Groundhogs Day as well as reading some silly stories! 

REGISTRATION:

As a reminder Registration begins at 9:15am in JLH.

Please check out the classrooms early this week to see where you want to place your child, I will also be sending out a personal email to everyone on Donna and my recommendations, but we encourage you to check out the classrooms and teachers as well!

SCHOLASTIC BOOK ORDERS:

I am sending home with you book order forms, they are due by Friday February 14th.

THIS WEEK:

This week we have some fun stuff planned!  We are learning about Bears and Hibernation!  We will be creating some fluffy bears, making stuffed bears, and hibernating bears! We will also get to bring a toy bear from home as well as have a pajama hibernation party!  

MONDAY 27th and TUESDAY 28th:

We will be having a special visitor from a fire fighter, one of our own Rainbow Room dads!!

THURSDAY 30th and FRIDAY 31st:

Bring your stuffed bear from home and wear your pajamas!

THIS WEEK:

This week we are learning about Winter and  the letter "W".  We will be decorating mittens, creating paper winter dolls, and snowflakes.  We will be reading cute books about animals that find a mitten as well as books about snow!

Start off in JLH decorating cookies then moving to the sanctuary to watch a movie

Come in your pajamas!! 

There is a sign up sheet outside the classroom.  Please sign up this week if you plan on coming so we can get a head count for how many cookies we need! Thank you!!

January 13th - 17th

LAST WEEK:

Last week we had such a wonderful time, the children really enjoyed being able to vote on what book to read and each child got to pick what song they wanted to sing for circle time or shared a song to sing for the whole class!  

We also got to welcome new friends to our class!

THIS WEEK:

This week we are learning about snowmen and the letter S!!!  We will be reading silly snowman books, doing fun and creative snowman art, and more!
