Rainbow Room Newsletter
September 22nd - 26th
LAST WEEK:
Last week we learned all about Leaves and the letter "L".
We got to explore leaves, branches, pinecones and bugs in the sensory table using our hands, tweezers, and magnify glasses.
We ready books having to do with leaves such as There Was an Old Lady Who Swallowed a Leaf (which was the class favorite) and We're Going On a Leaf Hunt.
We got to create several art projects using leaves including gluing real leaves onto paper trees and then using our hands as the leaves and stamping them onto paper trees.
We also talked about the letter "L", the sound it makes as well as different words that may begin with the letter "L". We showed the children how they can make a big "L" and a small "l" using their fingers.
FAVORITE THINGS TO DO AT SCHOOL:
Some of our favorite things to do last week at school was playing with cars. The Rainbow Room class loves to get the cars out and race them around the room. Another favorite activity is getting out the small brushes and dust pans and sweeping the floors :) Exploring the different writing utensils are also a class favorite.
